The formula explained

  • \(\text{time}\) = download time
  • \(\text{file size}\) = the size of the file to download
  • \(\text{download speed}\) = connection speed or transfer rate

Worked example

  2. Divide file size by speed: \(2000 \div 10 = 200\) seconds.
  3. Convert 200 seconds to minutes: \(200 \div 60 = 3\) minutes and \(20\) seconds.

Answer. The download will take about 3 minutes 20 seconds.
