The formula explained

  1. Use \(Pe = \frac{vL}{\alpha}\).
  2. Substitute the values, \(Pe = \frac{(0.20)(0.50)}{1.0 \times 10^{-7}}\).
  3. Compute \(Pe = \frac{0.10}{1.0 \times 10^{-7}} = 1.0 \times 10^{6}\).

Answer. \(Pe = 1.0 \times 10^{6}\)
