How to use this calculator

The formula explained

• \(\text{number of episodes}\) = the total count of episodes in the series
• \(\text{average episode length}\) = the typical runtime of one episode
• \(\text{total watch time}\) = the full time needed to watch the series

Step by step method

1. Identify how many episodes are in the series.
2. Find the usual runtime for each episode.
3. Multiply episodes by minutes per episode to get total minutes.
4. If needed, divide the total minutes by 60 to express the result in hours and minutes.

Worked example

Suppose you want to binge a 10-episode series where each episode is 42 minutes long.

1. Use the formula \(10 \times 42\).
2. Calculate the total: \(10 \times 42 = 420\) minutes.
3. Convert 420 minutes into hours: 420 minutes is 7 hours.
